US Coronavirus Advisor describes COVID-19 Delta Strain as a “Nasty Variant”

Chief coronavirus advisor of USA Dr. Anthony Fauci has referred delta strain of COVID-19 as a ‘nasty variant’. Fauci has said “It is very clear that this is a nasty variant. It has a much greater capacity of transmitting from person to person” Later on, he has also added that America has been fighting against the coronavirus pretty well. Citizens have become used to the COVID norms and protecting themselves the delta variant of coronavirus.

During an interview with ABC for the program called ‘This Week’, Fauci has said “The bad news is that we have a very nasty variant, the good news is that we have a vaccine that works against it”
Leading doctors of infectious disease in USA has become vocal about the “schism between some states and some areas that have a very low level of vaccination.”
Last week, USA President Joe Biden has urged people of America to take the vaccine and protect themselves against the coronavirus. According to Biden, the administration is ready to fight aggressively against the misinformation. Barrier behind the inoculation and people should be eliminated to protect the citizen.


Biden has said “It’s never been easier, and it’s never been more important. Do it now for yourself and the people you care about, for your neighborhood, for your country. It sounds corny, but it is a patriotic thing to do.”
In the previous week, Fauci has also said COVID-19 vaccine is very effective against the coronavirus. It is also useful for delta strain that has been spreading coronavirus delta variant. Therefore, citizens have been requested to take vaccine as soon as possible.
On the occasion, Fauci has stated vaccine is a science backed method. It is also best way of protection against the virus also. He has added “It works. It is free. It is safe. It is easy. And it is convenient.”

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases head has said that he is concerned about the presence of Delta variant in USA. Right now, 50% cases of coronavirus has caused by the delta variant. It is especially seen in the areas where percentage of vaccination is low. If the person has taken two doses of vaccine then he or she is allowed to stay without mask outdoors. However, it has been advised to wear a mask in a heavily crowded places and public transport such as buses, trains, metros and planes.
